A tipsy Saturday brewery tour
Toshimaya Shuzo holds a “brewery tour” every Saturday from 11 a.m. (the day and time can change, so confirm the latest). Guided through the brewery, you learn how sake is made. The tour includes a tasting of freshly made sake, and the participation fee is given as a guide of 1,000 yen per person. Whether a reservation is required can differ by season, so always check the official information before visiting.
The shop “KAMOSHInoBA”
The brewery has an attached shop, “KAMOSHInoBA.” You can buy and take home a bottle you'll find only here, such as the flagship “Kinkon” or seasonal sake. Perfect as a souvenir or a treat for yourself. Once a month, there may be a “kakuuchi”-style standing-bar event where you can taste sake (dates and content vary).
